today: NCIS, fish, and the basement.
i'm sitting here, with a blizzard outside, watching NCIS and reading a splendiferous blog written by fellow video-gaming, dice-chucking, 40k-playing chick zephri. everybody commenting on her blog is so surprised that girls like this actually exist. we are real! we are not a myth!
today we bought season 2 of NCIS at best buy. now we have seasons 1-3, every night can be NCIS night! we're such addicts. but i think television is sucking out my brain.
the basement is getting there. soon we'll be able to set up the extra dining room table down there as a gaming table! i want to perhaps put the white curio down there as a display case for our armies. maybe i'll repaint it, since the walls down there will be white. the tv is down there and the electrical is finished, but we haven't set up the wii or the cable. the xbox360 is staying upstairs, since it demands the HD. maybe this will make for less arguing over who gets to play what and when. then again, we duel over posession of the xbox360, so maybe not.
i've moved upstairs to my desk. i haven't really used my desk much since we moved in, partially because the fishtank is on it. but i really do enjoy putting the laptop in front of the tank and watching them while i fiddle around online. they seem to be much happier since i invested in the tank heater. i didn't need one while we were in the apartment, because the heat was always on blast and out of our control or financial responsibility. our house is another story. i lost my german blue ram to the cold, because the tank was dropping into the 60's, and i refuse to lose any more fish to something that is absolutely in my control. eventually, when i'm confident that the tank is ok and its safe enough, i will get another cichlid. maybe.
i have to finish unpacking the office so i can find the system disks and install open office on here, because i am not paying for microsoft office. fuck that noise.
